Oh No! The B-I-L is a Yankee. He doesn't roll that way.

So, did you put the C-4 in the dressing?

I actually had nothing to do with the dressing. I only made the corn pudding, heavenly delight salad, & a pumpkin pie. And using C-4 in any of it would have been a blasphemy to good food. The pie turned out very pretty this time too. I was NOT going to let it burn this year! And I worked hard not to let it burn.

B-I-L baked the turkey, the ham, and I assume the dressing. The Neice made an apple pie. Box mixes but it turned out very pretty. I can't say much since the pumpkin came out of a can. Nephew made the green bean casserole, & my sister made 7up biscuits. Which were pretty good. Never heard of them before, but they were very good.

Oh yes, and our Gravy Master, Pilot, made the gravy.

Then keep the gravy out of the C-4. I keep telling you about not mixing up pleasure and business.

Cool

*gives Galeon a look like WHAT is he talking about?!?!? You only put C-4 in the gravy of an enemy, then leave! Quickly.*

We had a couple of days of 50 f bracketed by days and days of below freezing. Those two warm days were a Godsend, like a tiny vacation. Now, freezing and wet and crunchy lawns again. eeeyech!

The house is now chinked, but I got to wait for a warm weekend to paint.

The car has 4 new snow tires and Betsy Blue Balls comes home tomorrow hopefully.

My roofline is now Christmas light bedazzled! In fact, we even figured out what to do with that "Extra" window light decoration we were popping into our back bedroom window. Since it is an indoor/outdoor fixture, we have popped it into the 1' space where the lights coming off the front porch light fixture and the backporch lights didn't quite meet Now the star is not down off to a side and mostly center roof peak. What can I say, Pilot was beginning to get fussy and uncooperative up there and the roof wasn't really working with him in placement. As he declared, it was a learning curve. He'll figure something out in time for next year so it's more centered.

Just have to finish "redesigning" a few more strings and I do the porch railings & around the door. Oh, I should also do something about the new little yard trees we bought last year to replace the older ones that are trying to fall apart.

This is our front porch.
We have a few white lights in a tree up the drive as well.
Nothing compared with yours, Kat but we tried

Betsy Blue Balls is back home, minus the electric door locks. Got to talk to the mechanics about that. The used engine despite them telling me "runs strong" runs weak. I got to wind it up more. They didn't take care of all the leaks like I wanted them to.

At least it does run now.

That's very pretty Merrick! I believe that falls into the "Respectable Showing Category". It far exceeds the neighbors across the street.

Pilot is already cursing a string of lights around the guttering, that he got up Sunday. The damned thing has gone out on the 2nd night! I think I might have him pursuaded to go back up and change out the string. Should have known something was going to bite us in the butt when it flicked off and back on when he was clipping it to the rain gutter.

That's beautiful Merrick. Hannukah starts next week but it's a decorationsless holiday, and anyhow it's still too warm to feel like Hannukah
Wish I could fly over to London to see all the decorations. I was there the week before Xmas 1996 and it was magical. Alas I can't afford going there twice a year, and being away from here durin Purim is more important

Thanks
We sometimes have a real tree in the porch but it always blows over and gets in the way. A couple of years ago we had the drain pipe moved from that back wall so it gave me the space to do the tree in lights
We have lights on the cabin in the back garden which we see from the dining room which brightens christmas dinner lol but thats it for outside.
We'll start on inside later this week after I've dusted

London is beautiful this time of year, Z, but I still avoid it lol

I'd say you definitely put in an effort there, Merrick. I just have this "Look" in mind that unfortunately isn't store bought. At least not yet. I saw Red & White candy cane strings the other day!

Our tree is up, but undecorated. The knick-knacks are out, we were looking for... something! I can't recall what now and putting things out and around seemed the easiest was of locating it instead of just digging through the boxes and possibly breaking something.

Oh! The spare bulbs jar! Of course they weren't in the knick-knack box.

I'm aiming to be done decorating this weekend. I hope.

I have gallstones, Kat. Have had them for years. I've been bad all summer and sometime in september the doc decided there was one stuck in a bile duct. I had antibiotics and he organized tests. I got to see a surgeon early December who decided it had to come out (I have refused for 15 years) but it depends if, how and where there is one stuck. Also he has to decided what to do and how to do it. Of course, they check for anything else with the MRI. Fingers crossed there is nothing else and the stuck one has gone
