So I gathered. I was making a joke about her being an alien.

I was half expecting something from the darkest reaches of the fridge until the end.

I was in the darkest reaches of the fridge doing up hubbys lunch...straightened up and cracked my globe on the freezer door handle...there were stars twinkling...birdies singing...yes my head aches like a SOB...

That would make for a good Dark and Stormy Night chapter.

The crash had been horrific. The mangled metal and pseudo metal from the alien craft was strewn all about the farm. Where were we anyway? Rosswell?

I picked through the jetsam looking for anything that might be salvagable. There wasn't much left.

As I waded through the waste, a thought struck me.

<G resurrects three of this dead computers.>

<and you thought this was about me wrecking the truck again....>

It was a dark and stormy afternoon. (Literally.) The sea was murky and polluted. The fish were merely dark shapes in the roiling water. The engines were working hard, but little headway was made, so I checked all the conections and added an extra pump. I checked the electrical source, but it was running the other motors. Nothing: the pump was dead. I removed it and added a second pump. It, too, was dead. At the bottom of the hold was a brand new pump and I installed it. Was the motor running? The water was not flowing, so I siphoned like a wild woman until with a gurgle, the water started to flow... backwards. The siphoning worked, but the damn pump did not!

The poor fishies will have to wait until I can get back to Wal-Mart and exchange the new pump!

Damn, just when I was going to tell my story about having to buy a new fish feeder!
