Humid, humid, humid. Buddy gets his long walk early when the heat isn't so bad.

It is so 'cold' here for the time of year I have heard of people putting their heating on. Stupid thing is earlier in the month we had 35 deg C which is very hot....now we are down to about 13 dec C on a bad day. Crazy for a few weeks apart

Send some warmth please...........keep the humid bit though lol

What a wonderful NOT start to the new week ... if today eing the pinacle of the humid heat wave is not enough, when I got up I discovered that the entrance door to my appartment refuse to open. I opened all the locks but when I press the handle, the door refuse to budge. Already waiting for my cousin to come and repair it. Hopefully it will budge when he'll apply his strenght which is a lot more then mine. Then we'll have to replace the old mechanisn with a new one. Luckily I have more then 1 entrance door so Iem not locked in. Thanks grandpa Moshe who built the building, for not sticking the appartment with only 1 door.

You can have some of our heat, but you have to take the corresponding amount of humidity along with it. Not all, but some. We'll balance out somehow! That's my final offer.

Lol! Thank you.

It has warmed up but the other day we had 88% humidity I think I have enough of my own

Should be up to 25 deg C this coming weekend. That's not too bad really. Not too hot.

Poor, Z! Was the door just swollen or was it the locks?

You have enough humidity in Israel to make the doors swell? That's what you get for making the desert bloom!

Well, but Merrick, things here have cooled off a bit. It looks like Kat sent the weather to you, humidity and all. The last week has been everything summer should be. It's dry enough now that we need to water the plants in the pots on the deck. The basil is wilting and the river has calmed down enough for kayaking.

88% humidity in England ??? Oy vey. It's the same as we are having now. Walking outside feels more loke swimming then walking.

The door is fixed. The problem was the handle lock. My cousin/big brother applied more leverage on the handle and managed to open the door. The mechanizm was broken and he replaced it with a new shining one. He doesn't know it yet but I'm planing on getting him to replace the mechanisms in all the doors. Just waiting for cooler weather.

LOL. He is my cousin. His father and my mother were brother and sister. But since we both are only children he is like my big brother and I'm his little sister.

Unfortunately he is the only family member I have contact with. We had another cousin who immigrated to South Africa about 30 years ago and severed all contacts with us. That's on my mother side. On my father side I had 3 aunts and an uncle. I know that 2 are dead and am not sure about the rest. I also "have" from that side 9 cousins with whom I have no contact for the last 20 years. When my father died his family deleted me from the family and severed all contact. They hated my mother for 2 reasons: the 1st was because she wasn't Polish like them. Her parents came from Russia. The 2nd reason was that after my parents were married in 1954, his parents with his brother and his youngest sister immigrated to Israel from Poland and wanted my other grandfather, who owned the building I now partly own and live in, to support them financially. My grandpa couldn't because inspite of owning a building he wasn't rich. So the polish family tolerated my mother and me for my dad's sake and were very happy to severe all contacts with us the minute he died.
