Hi, I finished right now the "In the line of fire"-ep., as I go through the series the fourth time en bloc since September, when I got HL (and had heard a short time before it the first time of AP - shame on me!!).
I love this ep. so much, Adrian is very good in it and the fight at the end is one of my favorits. Fighting with the lance, the indian war scream(sp?), he is so wild and in rage, I could melt away ... BUT, I can't go on watching the end without going crazy for THIS cheesy ending! Dam**d, who the heck was here in the postproduction such an helpless "romantic"?? or should I say had such a bad taste?? Adrian elevated with a goony grin in his face, the woman and the boy bowing down from heaven ... OMG, who did THIS cra*? sorry, if I did insult anyone, but I had to vent it! |

You're right! I love the fight itself, but the quickening was kind of on the silly side. I'm so glad someone else feels the same way. ![]()

You know what? You've just found one I haven't seen. There are refs of it in other episodes, but I didn't realize it had an ep of it's own. What season is that, so I can be offended, too.

Then you were lucky, Cool. You don't by any chance remember Richie's portion of this episode, Line Of Fire, do you? Where that girl was trying to convince Richie he was her baby's father?

The child was apparently conceived prior to Richie discovering he was Immortal, but she disappeared back east to stay with an aunt and came back after he became Immortal. Mac was trying to tell him it didn't work that way and the boy wasn't really Richie's. He even went to Joe & he told Richie as far as he knew it had never happened before. There were no records. The only one in his corner was Charlie. Richie decided he was going to try and stick it out and "do the right thing". Only after Kern came after him did he realize it was probably for the best if he let the mother & kid go, however.

![]() Yes it's a little bit silly, isn't it? and it's pitty, because the fight is reeeally good and wild and Adrian is soooo mmmmhhyummie. And yes, Richie the poor boy was so excited being a dad, but as he was told to put the sword away, I think he began to understand, being in a relation is not only fun! And that people who ment much to him would come in danger. But as always, he never, never believed what Duncan said to him, did he? They often came into trouble, because he dam..d couldn't do, what Duncan told him! grrr, just like Dr. Anne: I didn't like her at all, because she always caused trouble! |

Richie put his "sword" away? (wink wink, nudge nudge) Well, even he should have known the baby wasn't his.

Oh sweetie, several of our minds reside in the sewer with brief sojourns up to the gutter. You're in good company.
