Okay, for this Virgo soul, the "never" in this category just bothered me....it should have at least one post, don't you think?
![]() I loved so much of the music on Highlander. Yes, the Queen songs stand out, and will always be associated with it, but I think the music they composed and found for the series was just beautiful and so outstanding in so many ways. When I watch other television shows, ( especially ones with much higher PR and ratings and such), if I just listen to the music, they come up SO SHORT compared to the wonderful mix found in the series with Adrian and cast. ![]() IMHO of course ![]() |

Kansas Dust in the Wind will always be one of my favourite songs.

I can't hear it, Maris without picturing grieving Duncan and thinking of Tessa. It's funny how some songs we just see an image and that one sticks with us.

It seemed so very apt for the moment. Mortals are just like Dust in the Wind to an Immortal. So fleeting with only the memory lingering on centuries later.

Memory of a Great Series too! 'Dust in the Wind' symbolic as well as melodic.

On the Highlander cd of music from the series, there is some really good music and I like the Jazz version of Moonlight Sonata.
There was a piece Jim Byrnes wrote and played for the backround of a scene and it was beautiful. I haven't been able to find it. Like it was a one time thing. Jim Byrnes CD That River was the first CD I bought even before I had a cd player. I bought it at my first convention, The Celebration 1998 and played it on my computer about a hundred times.*memories* sigh |

I found it on YouTube. Here is a quote:

Jim has a busy touring schedule in Canada I see, and Netherlands in May.
A very talented musical talent. His cinema 'Joe' wasn't bad either! ![]()

When we lost a young HLbb member to leukemia, someone posted Dust in the Wind. I can't hear it any more without crying.

Jim appears to be getting alot more attention in Canada these days. I heard him on *The Point* a CBC radio show from Vancouver as a panel guest. not long ago. I just happened to switch to that channel and I recognized his voice immediately. Also I saw a picture of him attending a gala event in Vancouver in Hello magazine recently. I'm going to make it a point to get his new CD *My Walking Stick*. He is a very talented musician and actor. Joe was one of my favourite characters on Highlander aside from, well, you can guess who!
Jim turns up in guest appearances on so many Canadian series too. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him! |
